The amphora has been called the cardboard box of the ancient world — carried across Greek and Roman trade routes, filled with oil, wine, or grain, its two handles looped with rope for the hold of a ship or slung in pairs over the backs of mules. A vessel purpose-built to be held on both sides. To go the distance. And yet its utility has always belied its elegant silhouette — painted on urns, lifted into frescoes, an iconic form endures.
The Sir/Madam Amphora is cast in molds by artisans in Sri Lanka, each vessel pairing soft, flowing curves with crisp decorative relief. The Grande is genuinely commanding — a major presence, a statement without a word. The Demi holds its own on a shelf or surface. Both are ceramic, both are the kind of object a room organizes itself around.
Available in a gloss-glazed Flour or a deep, unglazed Terracotta.
